Kasab can’t be handed over to Pakistan: R R Patil

Mumbai, April 27: Maharashtra Government today said it is not possible to hand over Ajmal Kasab, the lone surviving terrorist of 26/11 attacks, to Pakistan.

“It is not possible to hand over Kasab, to Pakistan since the trial is in the last stage. I doubt Pakistan’s intension over the demand,” Home Minister R R Patil said while reacting to Pakistan’s demand to hand over Kasab.

“In fact, the Pakistan Government should hand over 35 Pakistani accused of the attacks named by Kasab in his confession to the Indian Government,” Patil said.

The nearly year-long trial in the 26/11 attacks concluded last month here and verdict would be pronounced on May 3.
