Mumbai, May 01: Enough is enough. Kareena Kapoor apparently suspects a conspiracy behind the repeated linking of her name with that of Shahid Kapur .
Anything Shahid does inevitably brings up a mention of Kareena Kapoor. The opposite is also true. Kareena dubs for Milenge Milenge , a delayed movie co-starring Shahid, and the next thing we see are reports of a possible reunion between the ex lovers. Or if there is any friction in Shahid’s relationship with ‘good friend’ Priyanka Chopra , the blame is squarely put on Kareena. In fact, very recently a television channel dedicated one hour of its precious time exclusively to a story focusing on Kareena’s “ploys” to ruin Shahid’s love story with Priyanka.
A barrage of such stories slandering Kareena and portraying Shahid as an innocent, albeit dumped, lover appear too planned to be co-incidental. Not just Kareena, even Saif is not spared. There have been reports aplenty that in Vishal Bharadwaj’s Kaminey Shahid has done a job much better than Saif (who was Vishal’s first choice for the film) could ever do.
So by now, both Saif Ali Khan – who doesn’t normally read much into conspiracy theories – and Kareena have begun to suspect something fishy.
“Normally, I wouldn’t go by any conspiracy theory. But this does seem a little too much. Why are Kareena and I dragged into other people’s lives?” Saif is quoted by a Mumbai tabloid.
But nothing could match the chill of Kareena’s acerbic statement to the tabloid: “I don’t like my name to come up in connection with other people’s lives. I’ve moved on and I wish Shahid Kapur would also do so.”
Man! Wonder what Shahid would respond to that.
