Karachi, April 28: Closed-circuit or “secret” cameras will soon be installed in sensitive areas of this Pakistani port city to help in the detection of terrorist acts and street crimes, an official statement said.
Karachi Police has entered into an agreement with a private company to install video cameras across the metropolis, the Daily Times reported citing the APP news agency.
The company will install cameras in the city during the next seven months, a police statement said.
“Secret cameras will help in detection of cases of terrorism, dacoity and general street crimes in the city,” it said.
