New Delhi : This year’s most -awaited flick ‘Kapoor and Sons,’ starring Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra seem to be inching towards Rs 100 crore mark, as it has minted Rs 76.90 crore gross income, until now.
Without facing much competition from other Box Office’s releases, Shakun Batra’s directorial has earned 46.93 crore at Domestic box office.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh announced the news tweeting, “#KapoorAndSons Fri 6.85 cr, Sat 7.75 cr, Sun 11.75 cr, Mon 5.08 cr, Tue 4.50 cr, Wed 4.35 cr, Thu 6.65 cr. Total: ? 46.93 cr. SUPER!”
The movie witnessed an excellent opening weekend at the overseas box office beating the records of Akshay Kumar’s hit ‘Airlift.’ The film churned 2.9 million dollars (Rs 19.27 crore) in its opening weekend, which is the highest of this year, until now.

The movie that received thumbs up from Bollywood stars, including Sonam Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar and Anushka Sharma, was released on 18 March. (ANI)
