Kanna Takes Over as AP State BJP President

After assuming charge as BJP state party president, Kanna Lakshminarayana assured that party programmes would be carried out with the full support of workers.

He took charge at a function organised on the occasion of completion of four years of NDA government led by prime minister Narendra Modi. Though he is in BJP for the last four years, he has experience of 40 years in the politics, the newly appointed BJP chief said.

Kanna called upon party workers to counter the misinformation being spread against the central government in the state. Former party president and MP K Haribabu said the centre has fulfilled 85 per cent of promises envisaged in bifurcation Act. The state government has severed its ties due to political reasons, Haribabu alleged.

A large number of workers and leaders participated in the function. BJP national secretary Ram Madhav, Sidharthnath, BJP Telangana party president Laxman, Purandreshwari, GVL Narasimha Rao, Gokaraju Gangaraju, Kamineni Srinivas were among party leaders who attended the function.(NSS)
