Kadiam to head teacher training study committee

Union Human Resources Development Minister Prakash Javadekar today appointed Telangana Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari as Chairman of a national committee for a study on teachers training across the country. Srihari attended NCERT at its 55th council meeting chaired by Javadekar that was held in Delhi on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion Srihari listed out the programs for education and training in Telangana. He welcomed the decision of the centre for upgrading Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalays to 12th class. I appealed to the Centre to launch pre-primary schools across the country and DIETs in all districts and Jawahar Navodaya schools in some districts of Telangana which is running 12000 Anganwadis in the state he said. Srihari also urged for extension of mid day meals scheme and uniforms up to 12th class and plan to launch integrated training program for Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, RMSA and Teacher training. Javadekar said that 20 per cent funds increased on education. (NSS)
