Nashik, September 12: The judicial custody of 10 out of 11 accused in the Malegaon blast case, were today extended by a court here till September 24.
According to special public prosecutor Ajay Misar, prime accused sadhvi Pragnya Singh Thakur, who is undergoing treatment in a Mumbai hospital, could not be produced in the court while the remaining 10, including Maj S P Purohit, Sudhakar alias Dayanand Pandey, Sameer Kulkarni, Rakesh Dhawade were brought to the court of Additional District and Sessions Court judge U K Thusu.
Kulkarni complained to the judge that they were not provided with food by the ATS officers nor allowed to take food brought by family members.
Thusu permitted the accused to take food first before starting the proceedings.
The accused were brought to Nashik court for the second time after the special court dropped provisions of stringent MCOCA against them.
