Kolkata, September 11: A journalist was today arrested alongwith another man for allegedly raping a woman, police said.
S N M Abdi, working with the South China Morning Post, was arrested along with one of his friend Saiful Islam for allegedly raping the woman at his New Alipore residence last night, police said.
The 29-year-old woman in a complaint alleged that Abdi asked her to visit him at his residence for a job interview but when she went to his house, he along with Saiful raped her.
Abdi was arrested from his residence based on the FIR lodged by the woman, they added.
