Bokaro, December 25: Widening scope for discussion on formation of a new government in Jharkhand, newly elected legislator and Rajya Sabha member Hemant Soren today said the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is not ”adamant” on the Chief Minister’s post.
The young Soren said the JMM already started calling up small parties and Independent legislators urging them not to ”turn Jharkhand into a laboratory again” and asserted that a solution would be arrived at in two to three days.
Hemant, son of JMM president Shibu Soren, said, ”JMM Mukhyamantri Pad Lene Ke Liye Adig Nahin Hain” (JMM is not adamant for chief minister’s post).
”Among all leaders, Guruji is unanimously accepted,” he said when asked to comment on the JMM’s reported hard stand on the CM’s post.
Asked if the JMM would accept a Cabinet berth at the Centre for Mr Soren and Deputy Chief Minister’s post for him, he said his party was now more focused on the affairs of the state.
He said, ”Our priority is to ensure a strong and stable government.” The JMM wanted all parties, including national and regional ones, to support the JMM to form the government.
Meanwhile, Chandra Prakash Chowdhary and Uma Kant Rajak, both from All Jharkahnd Students’ Union, who won from Ramgarh and Chandankiyari respectively, called on Guruji here.
