Karachi, February 10: Exasperated at being ignored time and again in decision making, Javed Miandad has threatened to quit his post of Pakistan Cricket Board Director General.
Miandad has shot a letter to PCB chief patron Asif Ali Zardari, saying that if he will not be given proper authority and assignments, he will step down from the post.
“If I am not given due respect that I deserve as a former captain and a loyal servant of Pakistan cricket. If I am not given assignments, work and authority according to my position and experience, then it is better I leave the board,” Miandad has written in his letter.
The relationship between PCB President Ejaz Butt and Minadad is already strained and the former has even suggested Miandad to resign if he is not happy.
