Shimla, August 20: Jaswant Singh’s book eulogising Mohammad Ali Jinnah may have ended his 30-year association with BJP but it has received a “quick” response in the queen of hills where the party is holding its ‘chintan baithak’.
Curious readers have been flocking book stalls ever since Singh’s book “Jinnah-India, Partition, Independence”, released three days ago, triggered a controversy resulting in his expulsion from the party.
“We have received positive response for the book in the past two days,” Rajendra Aggarwal, the proprietor of Minerva Book Depot on the famous the Mall Road, told PTI today.
Ashok Kumar Kinger, the proprietor of the popular Asian Book House said, “I have been in this trade for the past 40 years but never seen such a quick response to a book in the market here.
