Hyderabad: Leader of the Opposition in Telangana Assembly K Jana Reddy today met Leader of Andhra Pradesh legislature Assembly and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
Jana Reddy is learnt to have discussed with Naidu on the use of Nagarjuna Sagar waters in Telangana State. The Andhra Pradesh Government has to see that no injustice was meted out to Telangana with regard to usage of Sagar waters, he urged. Jana Reddy, who hails from Nagarjuna Sagar area from Nalgonda, held a crucial meeting with Chandrababu Naidu to protect the irrigation interests of the district.
The meeting assumes significance as the Chandrababu Government offered to do justice and protect the irrigation interests of crops under Nagarjuna Sagar, it is learnt. The waters from the Nagarjuna Sagar ought to be supplied prudently as per agreement without hampering our interests, Jana Reddy reportedly informed Chandrababu. (NSS)
