Panchayat Raj Minister K Jana Reddy on Sunday condemned the arrest of Congress MPs from the Telangana region at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office.
Talking to reporters here, Jana Reddy demanded that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy honour the promise made with the members of Telangana Political Joint Action Committee on the Telangana March and stop the arrests of all Telangana activists across the region. He demanded that release of all MPs and other Telangana activists immediately. He asked the State Government not to cause any obstructions to ensure peaceful conduct of Telangana March.
Jana Reddy said that the Telangana ministers were ready to sacrifice their posts for the statehood cause, if need arises. He informed that he also spoke about the MPs’ release and the present situation to the Chief Minister over telephone.
Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha also condemned the arrests. (INN)
