Jamiat Ulame-e-Hind convention on Jan 5

Hyderabad, January 03:The Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind will organise its second State-level convention on January 5 at Nizam College Grounds.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Jamiat’s state president Hafiz Peer Shabbir Ahmed and national secretary Moulana Hakimuddin Qasmi said that nearly 50,000 members from across the State would participate in the convention.

Reservation for Muslims on the basis of population, passing of Communal Violence Bill, exemption of Madarsas from the Right to Education Act, 2009 and protection of Wakf properties are among the issues to be discussed during the convention.

Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Jamiat’s national president Moulana Hafiz Mohammad Osman Mansurpuri and general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Hafiz Syed Mahmood Asad Madani would attend the convention. Several eminent personalities from the country would also attend. (INN)
