Jamaat-ud-Dawah (JuD) won’t be banned – Pakistan

Islamabad : Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Nawaz Shareef declared that JuD has no links with LeT and hence it will not be banned in Pakistan. This statement has come just before his meeting with Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi in Russia on the occasion of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit to be held on Friday.

It may be mentioned that India has repeatedly being demanding Pakistan to take action against JuD and LeT as they are alleging involvement in 26/11 Mumbai attacks. This issue is likely to come up for discussions during the meeting of PM Modi with PM Nawaz Shareef.

Reports were published in Pakistan quoting the statement of Pakistan’s Minister for States and Frontier Regions, Abdul Qadir Baloch who made a statement on the floor of Senate of Pakistan on Tuesday giving a clean chit to JuD.
