Hyderabad, January 28: The decks have been cleared for the release of ”Jai Bolo Telangana’ film with the regional office of Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) clearing the movie with minor cuts, here yesterday.
The censor board has also awarded ”A” certificate to the film which is likely to hit the screens on February 4.
The film was made by Producer-Director N Shankar on the separate Telangana struggle. However, the permission was given even as a few members of the Board expressed apprehensions that the movie might create law and order problem.
Telangana supporters were up in arms against the state Censor Board’s decision for not clearing the film. They disrupted screening of films at several theaters across the region.
With the protests intensifying, the regional office of the Censor Board climbed down and gave the green signal for the release.
Mr Shankar said ”members of the Board have informed me that some scenes are being removed from the film.
However, as those scenes do not disturb the main theme of the film, I have agreed to cut them . Any how, I feel very happy at the film being cleared,” he told media here.
