New Delhi, Jun 02:Yesterday Congress gave a go-ahead to Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to continue his controversial yatra, apparently to ward off any trouble in Andhra Pradesh party unit ahead of the Rajya Sabha polls.
Reddy, MP from Kadapa and son of late Chief Minister Y S Rajashekhara Reddy, got the clearance for the tour when he met Union Law Minister Veerappa Moily, who is AICC in-charge of Andhra Pradesh, here this morning.
He will now carry on with the tour from June 8 in Srikakulam in coastal Andhra Pradesh from June 8 to meet the families of those who died after his father’s death in a helicopter crash.
He will also visit the Telangana region after the by-elections are held in the sensitive region.
“The meeting went off well. He (Moily) has given a go-ahead.
