Vijayawada, December 15: Former Congress MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddyyesterday told he would undertake two-day fast from December 21 to highlight the plight of rain-affected farmers and demand proper compensation for them from the Andhra Pradesh Government.
Addressing a gathering at Machilipatnam, he said a large number of farmers and weavers would also take part in the fast on December 21-22.The 37-year-old son of late Chief Minister Y S R Reddy was addressing the meet at the end of his four-day tour of Guntur and Krishna districts during which he met farmers who had suffered losses due to recent rain, flood and cyclone.Jagan, who left Congress late last month, has announced his plan to float a new political party.
