The CBI Court posted delivery of verdict to October 23 on YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s petition seeking exemption from appearing before the Court on every Friday.
Both Counsels of Jagan and CBI Court made their arguments before the court. CBI argued that Jagan was a culprit in 11 cases and not to exempt him from appearing before the court on every Friday as the trail was in an important stage. It reminded High Court’s direction that the Case trial to be completed on speedy manner. It was not correct on the part of culprit to seek permission for six long months with the political reasons and said that the culprit may seek permission to exempt from attending personally to the Court from one or two weeks with justified reason.
Jagan’s advocate argued that Jagan was pakka politician and not a businessman. Jagan has the need of going to people to wage movement on the public issues. Jagan contemplated to take up 3000 kilometers padayatra for six months. The seriousness will come down if Jagan attends Court every Fridaydirectly from padayatra and so that he was asking permission for exemption, the counsel argued.
It may be recalled that Jagan has decided to take up padayatra from Idupulapaya in Kadapa district to Ichapuram from November 2. The padayatra will go on through 13 districts in Andhra Pradesh State. (NSS)
