Cracker burns: Six need eye operations: Lakshma Reddy

Health Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy today said better treatment was being offered to those who suffered eye problems during Deepavali festival.

Talking to the media today, the minister said the patients suffering eye problems after firing crackers during the festival have been admitted to Sarojini Devi EyeHospital and getting better treatment. Some 30 patients with eye injuries came to the hospital, including 12 patients joined as inpatients, he said. Lakshma Reddy also said that out of six persons need eye operations, one operation was completed and five are being done. The injured persons were discharged after primary treatment in the hospital. There was no need of panic among the patients and their family members as the hospital is equipped to give the best treatment, he assured. (NSS)
