Jagan promises to help the self-help groups

Kadapa, July 09: Promising to help the self-help groups in the state, Mr Jagan said they can expect interest-free loans and farmers will get a great deal, he promised: An acre of land to poor farmers, nine hours of free power daily, Rs 3 lakh in loans at 25 paise interest, and 40 lakh square feet of godown space will be created in villages across AP. He also promised to make villages liquor-free by removing belt shops.

Meanwhile, the new party received donations during its first plenary meeting. Among the donors, Mr Mekapati Gautam Reddy offered Rs 30 lakh, Mr Bhuma Nagi Reddy Rs 10 lakh, Ms Buchepalli Venkayamma Rs 5 lakh, Mr M.V. Prasad Reddy Rs 5 lakh, Mr K.V. Varaprasad Reddy Rs 5 lakh, Mr B. Hanuman Reddy and former MLA Mr Ragurami Reddy donated Rs 1 lakh each.
