YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy today criticized Governor E S L Narsimhan for attending the swearing-in ceremony in Andhra Pradesh.
The Governor administered oath and secretary of office to 11 members, who were inducted into Chandababu Naidu cabinet, including four YSRCP MLAs, who crossed over to ruling party.
“Today is the black day in political history of Andhra Pradesh”, Jagan said, adding it was unconstitutional to induct into the cabinet those who left their parent party and joined the ruling party. He also alleged that the Chief Minister has violated rules with the support of the Speaker Kodela Sivaprasadarao. Since the Governor attended the unholy function, he should be blamed, Jagan said.
YSRCP spokesperson Ambati Rambabu termed induction of four defector-MLAs into the AP cabinet as murder of democracy. Ambati said Talasani Srinivas Yadav, who was elected on TDP ticket and crossed over to the ruling TRS to become a minister in KCR cabinet set a precedent for today’s development. (NSS)
