Hyderabad, October 15: Yesterday Congress MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy continued his ‘Odarpu Yatra’ in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh on the second day.
Jagan began the day at Kavali in the district and went on to tour several villages.
He consoled couple of families of those who died following the death of his father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and also unveiled his statues.
Speaking during the yatra, Jagan said YSR had occupied a permanent place in the hearts of the people because of the innovative welfare schemes like free power for farmers, old age pensions, tuition fees reimbursement for farmers launched by him.
After successfully completing his yatra in Prakasam district, he had began his tour in Nellore district yesterday.
Despite Congress high command’s reservations, Jagan resumed his controversial yatra in Prakasam district on September 3, a day after the first death anniversary of Rajasekhara Reddy.
The party has indicated it may not take any action against him for now.
