Hyderabad: Education Minister G Jagadish Reddy today lashed out at AICC president Rahul Gandhi and AP Minister Nara Lokesh for failing to develop the State and termed both as “jokers”.
During his road show in Nalgonda district, the minister slammed Rahul Gandhi for his provocative comments against Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. “The Congress failed to develop the nation and Telangana region and the people were looking for an alternative to be led by K Chandrashekhar Rao. Our schemes are role model for the entire nation as they are being reached to farmers, poor and pensioners. Many Congress leaders were unhappy at Congress leadership and joining the TRS for developing their segments”, he claimed.
Alleging that the Congress had destroyed the Telangana region during its long regime, he appealed to the people to vote for 16 MPs of the TRS to achieve our rights at the Centre. Jagadish Reddy asked what Rahul Gandhi would do to Telangana State if he became Prime Minister. He also reiterated that the Congress party would be rejected by the angry people of Telangana in the polls.
Referring to the BJP, Jagadish Reddy accused the BJP-led NDA government of failing to give funds to the infant State. Prime Minister Narendra Modi did nothing for the new born State and has been only making false promises. The Modi government only helped the rich and helped financial fraudsters to go abroad and ignored the poor, he charged. (NSS)
