Israel says India under terror threat, issues travel advisory

Jerusalem, October 16: Israel’s Counter-Terrorism Bureau (CTB) has issued a warning to its nationals to be cautious about the possible terror attack in India. It has warned them against travelling to India asserting that the threat of possible attacks has become more severe after a travel advisory was issued last month.

According to the bureau, there was a “concrete” threat of attacks on synagogues across India. The bureau also apprehends that Goa can also be the target owing to the assemblage of Israelis in large numbers.

Israel’s media also reported that the new warning issued by the Bureau was based on new intelligence received by the officials indicating. It hinted the teaming up of Jihad group with the Pakistani terror outfit responsible for the 22/11 Mumbai terror attack.
