Tehran, November 04: Iran’s Supreme Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Tuesday that Tehran would reject any dialogue if the outcome is predetermined by Washington, raising the possibility that a mooted nuclear fuel deal could be derailed.
“We do not want any negotiations, whose outcome is predetermined by the United States,” Khamenei said in a speech to students on the eve of 30th anniversary on Wednesday of the U.S. embassy seizure by radical Islamic students in Teheran.
“Such a dialogue is like a sheep and wolf relationship that the late Imam (Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini) said that” not want, “said Khamenei.
Iran is conducting high-profile talks, backed by Washington, with world powers on the acquisition of nuclear fuel for a research reactor in Tehran.
Khamenei also warned it will not allow people with “evil intent” towards the Islamic Republic to “throw a red carpet for America.
