Hyderabad: The Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) is planning to make major changes in the Intermediate admission process. This changes would be applicable for both Govt. and Private Junior colleges in the State.
According to the report published in Telangana Today, BIE is making arrangements to conduction web-based counseling for admission into intermediate colleges. However, this process of admission may be applicable from next year.
It is also reported that it would be similar to Degree Online Services, Telangana (DOST). DOST is meant for admissions into Govt. and Private degree colleges in the State.
It may be mentioned that BIE had already introduced the online registration facility for admission into government junior college. It was not extended to private intermediate colleges due to delay in affiliation process.
Earlier, in TS Legislative Assembly, Dy. Chief Minister and Education Minister Mr. Kadiyam Srihari had said that a central process would be introduced for the admissions into intermediate colleges.
It may be noted that this step is being taken to check the irregularities in the admission process.
