Injured Yuvraj out of ODI series

Cuttack, December 23: Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh will miss India two next One Day Internationals due to a finger injury. That means India will miss M S Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh in the 4th ODI.

“Due to the finger injury sustained earlier, Yuvraj Singh has been advised rest and therefore he will not play in the fourth and fifth ODI matches againstSri Lanka,” BCCI secretary N Srinivasan said in a statement.

Yuvraj had sustained the injury during the second Twenty20 International against Sri Lanka in Mohali where the left-hander starred both with the bat and the ball to script India’s series-levelling win.

Yuvraj, who missed first two ODIs, played in the third match at Cuttack scoring 23 runs that India won by 7 wickets.

Yuvra is also likely to miss the Bangladesh tour as well where India will be playing against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in a tri-sereis and three tests against Bangladesh.
