Injured demonstrator dies in hospital in Kashmir

Srinagar, August 05: A demonstrator who was injured when security forces opened fire on a curfew-defying mob at Ganpathyar in the old city last night, has died in hospital.

Official sources said the injured man was admitted to SMHS hospital where he was operated upon by the doctors.

The man died this morning, a doctor said. The sources said security forces also opened fire at Bemina in the city outskirts last evening, resulting in injuries to three people.

The injured were immediately shifted to nearby SKIMS, Bemina, where one of the injured succumbed to injuries.

The condition of two other injured was stated to be critical.
