Hyderabad, October 07: Rayalaseema Rashtra Samithi (RRS) president K Venkat Subba Reddy will go an indefinite fast from November 3 demanding formation of Greater Rayalaseema State.
Demanding that the Centre must start consultation process for formation of Greater Rayalaseema State, RRS president K Venkat Subba Reddy said that he would go an indefinite fast from November 3 in front of the Anantapur Collectorate.
According to RRS, the Centre must create Greater Rayalaseema State, with Kadapa as its capital. The new State should comprise of Kadapa, Kurnool, Anantapur, Chittoor, Nellore and Prakasam of Andhra Pradesh, Vellore and Krishnagiri (Tamil Nadu) and Bellary and Raichur (Karnataka).
Subba Reddy said that he would continue his fast unless the Centre announces formation of Greater Rayalaseema State. (INN)
