Hyderabad, October 07: Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has laid foundation stone for IIT Buildings in Kandhi village in Medak district on Thursday. The project is estimated around Rs. 400 crores and it will be named as IIT Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion CM Kiran Kumar Reddy has said “Students and parents should understand that showing interest in Engineering and Medicine only is not advisable and you have to think about the other courses too.”
He advised the students to move with certain goal and plan accordingly their studies. CM has criticized Chukka Ramayya style of education which makes students study from 4am to 10pm continuously to get ranks in IIT entrance tests. He said it will create unnecessary pressure on the students.”
