New Delhi, January 07: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) would pay more attention to address the issue of meaningful employment to its graduates in the new year, IGNOU Vice-Chancellor V N Rajasekharan Pillai said.
”IGNOU will pay more attention to address the issue of meaningful employment to its graduates this year,” he stated. Initiating its series of campus recruitments,IGNOU has made arrangements with multi-national corporations and IT companies for placement of its students. Addressing the academics and administrative officials ofIGNOU, Prof Pillai emphasised that IGNOU ‘s Distance Education System has proved itself to be an effective education and skill development model for highly populated countries all over the world.
”We are also trying to enhance the quality of our services to the ever-increasing student population. Innovative and flexible use of different strategies of teaching and learning need to be adapted in all our activities,” he added.IGNOU has also undertaken an ambitious and relevant study to understand the extent and level of employable skills that its students have been exposed to.
