Hyderabad: History of Babri Masjid was tried to be repeated at a 400-year-old historical masjid near Golconda. However, police foiled the attempt.
According to the report of thequint.com and jansatta.com miscreants entered in historical Shaikhpet masjid near Golconda and placed an idol. However, on receipt of information, police removed the idol and deployed police.
Police authorities claim that 5 miscreants have been identified after the FIR was lodged, they will soon be arrested. The incident created communal tension in the area. A local youth informed police about the incident. The accused were identified as Veer Singh, Yogendra Singh, Kirpal Singh, Naveen Singh and Maya Bai. According to police the 5 accused placed the idol in the masjid owned by Waqf Board in an attempt to occupy the Waqf property. Pooja Archana was also conducted there. MBT has demanded strict action against the accused.
