Kanpur, November 26: Out of favour Indian batsman Mohammed Kaif says he has not given up hope of making a national comeback despite his continuing barren run in the domestic circuit.
“If I make runs then I will definitely make a comeback to the Indian team or otherwise…,” Kaif told PTI-Bhasha.
Kaif, who is currently leading Uttar Pradesh’s challenge in the Ranji trophy, said, “I am disappointed with my current form in the domestic circuit but I have not lost the hope.”
Kaif, who was last seen in action for India during the ODI series against South Africa in 2006, is currently going through a Lean run in the domestic arena.
Although the right-hander scored a couple of half-centuries during the current Ranji season, he has been found wanting at times.
