New Delhi, September 13: Her debut film ‘Dharm’ won her critical acclaim as well as a National Award but filmmaker Bhavna Talwar says that she does not want to tread the expected path and become an ‘art house’ filmmaker.
Talwar whose film exploring the dynamics of religion and communalism in the sacred city of Benares, won the ‘Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film On National Integration’, said that she is not averse to doing commercial Bollywood films.
“I am not averse to commercial cinema and may even do a typical Bollywood masala film. Just because I did Dharm and it won the award does not mean that I will keep churning out similar stuff. What attracts me is a good story and some stories need to be told in a formulaic way,” Talwar told PTI.
