Hyderabad: The division bench of Supreme Court consisting of Justice P.Chandra Ghosh and Justice Fali Nariman accepted the Special Leave Petition filed by Hyderabad City Police against the exoneration of rowdy sheeter, Ayub Khan by HC in Mannan Ghowri murder case.
It may be mentioned that in 2002, Ayub Khan had murdered Mr. Mannan Ghowri, Advocate at his residence in Husaini Alam in connection with forced collection. Police had filed criminal cases against Ayub Khan and his companions, Mohammed Habeeb Qureshi, Khalid Munawar alias Baba and Fayaz Mohammed Khan alias Rustum.Police had arrested and sent them to jail. In 2010, Criminal Court had awarded life sentence to Ayub Khan. Ayub Khan had filed an appeal in HC against the lower court’s judgment.
