Hyderabad: Since the Turkish Consulate was established in Hyderabad, the consulate officials have been persuading Turkish people to visit Hyderabad for trade and tourism. Soon Turkish national flight will be started from Hyderabad. Turkish Consul General of Hyderabad Dr Adnan Altay Altinors told this in a press conference held here. He said that India and Turkey have age-old and close relations and the establishment of a consulate in the city has improved them further.
Dr Adnan told that 14 flights are currently run in a week from two places of India that are Delhi and Mumbai. He said it is being tried to ensure direct flight from Hyderabad to Istanbul.
Mentioning the culture and tradition of Hyderabad Mr Adnan said, he has observed the historical and cultural importance of the city. During his stay, he has met Nawab Mir Karamat Ali Khan Bahadur Mufakham Jah, beside Princes Esra Jah.
Mr Adnan informed that business ties have been strengthened between Turkey and India. He revealed that imports from India to Turkey have reached 5.7 billion while the exports from Turkey to India have reached to 6.52 million dollars. On Turkey’s permission of settlement to Syrian refugees in Turkey, he said Turkey supports oppressed on humanitarian grounds and is striving to combat terrorism.
