Hyderabad: A 23-year-old girl committed suicide just three days before her engagement.
According to the news published in Deccan Chronicle, she was depressed as her parents pressured her for getting married.
Gandham Pujitha, M.Tech hanged herself when no one was at home.
It is also reported that Pujitha who was a resident of Attapur, Rajendranagar had completed M.Tech last year. Her father G. Prabhakar is an employee of the Health Department in the city.
It may be mentioned that her marriage was fixed a few days ago. October 1 is decided as the date of her engagement and 24th November for the wedding.
On Wednesday, when her parents returned from shopping, found Pujitha hanging from the ceiling fan. She was rushed to the hospital where she was declared brought dead.
Talking about this case, SI of Rajendranagar Police, Mr. N. Mallikarjun said that the reason for her suicide is not clear as she did not leave any suicide note. The investigation is going on.
