Several leaders and activists of MIM joined Congress on Saturday. They reached Gandhi Bhawan and met Secretary AICC and incharge Telangana Congress Affairs Mr. Kashtaiah. 200 active members and leaders of MIM including Munawwar Ali, Abdul Qader, Arshad bin Omer, Mansoor Pasha, Ali Amjad and others reached Gandhi Bhawan and met Mr. RC Kastaiah and joined Congress. They blamed MIM leadership for ignoring Muslims for their personal interest.
Mr. Kashtaiah alleged that MIM has deviated from the path of secularism and chosen the path of communalism. Showing dissent over the policies of MIM leadership, several leaders resigned from the party and joined Congress.
