How about full probe, asks HC

Hyderabad, July 28: The AP High Court on Wednesday asked the counsels representing Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, president of the YSR Congress, and other respondents why the court should not direct the CBI to investigate the alleged amassing of wealth by the Kadapa MP and irregularities in the controversial Emaar deal.

The division bench of Chief Justice Nisar Ahmad Kakru and Justice Vilas V. Afzulpurkar was dealing with the petitions against Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy and his associate companies, and Emaar Properties Ltd, filed by Dr P. Shankar Rao, textile minister, Mr K. Yerrannaidu, of the Telugu Desam, and others.

Chief Justice Kakru gave the direction to Mr Reddy’s counsel after the latter requested the court to furnish a copy of the reports submitted by the CBI. Mr Vedula Venkatramana, senior counsel for Mr Jagan contended that he cannot take forward the arguments without knowing the contents of the preliminary enquiry.
