Hot spell to continue for two more days

With the day temperature shooting up enormously, the people in various parts of the State were groaning under hot spell and keeping themselves confined in their houses. The Met. Officials on Thursday stated that the oppressive heat wave conditions will continue to prevail for another two days.

Guntur, West Godavari, Adilabad, Nizamabad and Karimnagar districts were in the grip of heat wave for the past two days. These districts have recorded highest temperature in the current season. While the State capital recorded 42 degrees celcius on Thursday, Adilabad, Ramagundam and Rentachintala recorded 45 degrees celcius forcing the people to keep indoors.

The Met. Officials have stated that Nizamabad recorded 44 degrees C, Machilipatnam, Ongole, Bapatla and Nalgonda 43 degrees, Nandyal, Tirupati, Kakinada, Bhadrachalam, Narsapur and Nellore and Vijayawada 41 degrees, Tuni and Hakimpet 40 degrees, Anantapur 39 degrees, Kalingapatnam and Visakhapatnam recorded 35 degrees celcius.
