Amritsar, March 05: Police today claimed to have seized four kilogram heroin worth Rs 20 crore in the international market with the arrest of four persons here.
Amritsar (Rural) SSP Sukhdev Singh Brar told reporters that police on a tip off arrested four persons from village Ajnala near the Indo-Pak international border when they were carrying the consignment of drug.
The arrested accused were identified as Paramjit Singh, Gurmit Singh, Sukhdev Singh and Santa Singh.
They confessed to their involvement in a previous consignment of 15 kilogram heroin seized on February 25, besides close proximity with the Pakistan-based smuggler Abad Ali who alongwith his accomplice fired on BSF from Pakistan territory on February 25.
