Lucknow March 05: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati has directed setting up of a task force to deal effectively with those involved in food and drug adulteration.
The taskforce would function under the additional commissioner, food and drug administration (FDA) and would have coordination with the police and intelligence units for nabbing those indulging in adulteration, an official statement said.
The district authorities have been directed to assist in the functioning of the task force for which necessary resources would be made available by the FDA, the release added.
