Health schemes will continue: Lakshma Reddy

Hyderabad: All health schemes will continue to provide better health facilities as usual and the hospital have to cooperate in this regard as the government released arrears and funds for smooth delivery of the services across the state.

This was informed by caretaker health minister, Dr C Lakshma Reddy. Reacting to warning of closure of the health schemes by some hospitals seeking release of arrears, he said that they have to extend all emergency and other services on humanitarian grounds and keep poor people in view. The caretaker government is alert and taking steps to continue the schemes and 104 will provide health services as usual.

Admitting the non release of the funds by the department he said, the government has released Rs 800 cr towards Arogyasri scheme including Rs 150 cr recently and Rs 655 cr in the financial year. He appealed to all the 15 corporate hospitals, 39 government, private hospitals in Hyderabad, 150 districts, area hospitals and those in mandals will continue to provide the best health services under the schemes.
