London, May 09: French first lady Carla Bruni had kept a head of the state waiting while she was engaged in a romp with her husband President Nicolas Sarkozy, a new book has claimed.
According to the book, the 42-year-old former supermodel made the steamy revelation to her US counterpart Michelle Obama in a chat about their sex lives during a state visit, the Mirror reported.
The book ‘The Promise: President Obama, Year One’ added: “Bruni wanted to know if, like them, Michelle and the President had ever kept anyone waiting that way.”
“Michelle laughed nervously and said no.”
Meanwhile, according to the report, speculation is now growing that the stood-up VIP could be Britain’s Queen.
The Sarkozys stayed at Windsor Castle a month after they wed two years ago.
The French first couple are reportedly notorious for their lateness.
