The Hyderabad High Court today granted stay on the changes in the allotment of Medical College seats system in Telangana State.
On Monday, the Court reacted on a petition filed alleging that the State government has changed fees structure in Minority, B and C quota medical seats intentionally. Advocate Rachana Reddy on behalf of the petitioner argued that common students were facing hardships as the government increased fees from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 14 lakh. He urged the Court to fill the medical seats following the earlier G.O.No.130 which states that the seats be filled on the basis of 60:40 system. Accordingly, the Court granted stay on the G.O. No.115, 117 and 119 issued recently. (NSS)
