KCR ‘playing politics’ on GST: Revanth Reddy

TDP Telangana State working president A Revanth Reddy today alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was “playing politics” on GST in view of CBI cases filed against him when he was Union minister for labour in the then UPA government.

The case was booked by CBI in 2011 and officials inquired into it after KCR becoming Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy, said, adding that KCR has announced his support to demonetization decision, GST Bill, NDA candidates for President and Vice-President posts even before the BJP-ruled chief ministers.

Condemning the remarks of KCR over GST on irrigation projects in the State, the TDP-TS leader questioned how the former announced his support to GST Bill without going through its pros and cons. In spite of State Finance Minister Etela Rajender’s statement that 18% GST on the on-going projects would have an adverse impact, what was the need of issuing a statement next day by the Chief Secretary contradicting the Finance Minister, Revanth Reddy asked.
