HC division issue hanging due to CM’s inability: Ponnam

Former MP and TPCC vice-president Ponnam Prabhakar today alleged that the High Court division was not taking place due to the inefficiency of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. He also threw a challenge to the Chief Minister, who wished to stage a dharna at Janthar Mantar in New Delhi demanding division of the High Court, to come back only after fulfilling the demand.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Tuesday, Ponnam alleged that KCR has failed to convince the Centre and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu with regard to the division of the High Court. “The Advocates came on to road due to inefficiency of KCR”, he claimed. Alleging that the Bar Association has become a sycophant of ruling TRS party, Ponnam has thrown a challenge at the Bar Association to take up ‘Chalo Secretariat’, ‘Chalo Camp Office’ and ‘Chalo TRS Office’ in case it has sincerity. He demanded that the Chief Minister take an all-party delegation to Delhi for division of the High Court and to solve the problems of the advocates. He also demanded the State government withdraw the Memo asking the advocates not to launch protest programs. (NSS)
