‘Haters gonna hate’ Taylor Swift sued for stealing lyrics

Washington D.C., Nov. 1 : Taylor Swift is being sued by a songwriter for stealing lyrics for her hit-single ‘Shake it Off.’

Songwriter Jessie Braham has said that the ‘Shake it Off’ singer stole lyrics from a song he wrote in 2013 called ‘Haters Gone Hate,’ and has pointed out that his song phrase was used more than 70 times in Taylor’s 2014 song.

Braham said that his lyrics were “Haters gone hater, playas gone play. Watch out for them fakers, they’ll fake you everyday.”

The songwriter wants USD 42 million from Taylor and also wants his name added to ‘Shake It Off.’ (ANI)
