Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao on Monday warned Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of serious consequences if they create obstacles in the irrigation projects of Telangana State.
Speaking to media persons on the banks of Penganga River in Adilabad district on Maharashtra-Telangana border, Harish Rao said Naidu and Jagan were trying to stop Telangana projects just for political gains. He said while Chandrababu Nadiu was trying to stall the projects through Supreme Court, Jagan has launched Jala Deeksha against them. He said that the Telangana Government was constructing the projects as per the decision of Brajesh Kumar Tribunal and AP leaders would not be able to stop them.
Harish Rao said that the Telangana Government has no plans to utilise even a single drop of additional than what it has been allocated to it. He also accused the Congress party of creating confusion among the people over Pranahita Chevella project. (INN)
